Dance team: LQPV/DB, YME win at Camden championships

Shadows win in Jazz, Silhouettes take high kick

CANBY — The Lac qui Parle Valley/Dawson-Boyd Shadows and the Yellow Medicine East Silhouettes emerged as Camden Conference champions on Friday.

LQPV/D-B won the Jazz Division, edging second-place YME and third-place Lakeview. Worthington was fourth, Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa/Paynesville was fifth and Tracy-Milroy-Balaton took sixth.

In the High Kick Division, YME took first. LQPV/D-B was second and Canby/Minneota was third. Worthington was fourth and T-M-B was fifth.

Area all-conference members in high kick were: Morgan Schwinghammer of BBE/P; Hailey Coil and Reis Mitchell of LQPV/DB; Aspen Thompson of MACCRAY; Yolanda Chavez of Renville County West; and Justine Angulo, Kaitlyn Luepke and Kayla Nordaune of YME.

Area all-conference members in jazz were: Emily Houk and Natalie Mueller of BBE/P; Peyton Moe, Isabella Jacobs and Atiana Spect of LQPV/D-B; Jasmine Colby of MACCRAY; Madison Bentley of RCW; and Jenna Weir and Kylie Knollenberg of YME.
