RICHMOND — Sophia Hess scored a hat trick to help lead the River Lakes Stars to a 7-2 girls hockey victory over Wahpeton-Breckenridge on Monday night at the River Lakes Civic Arena.
Hess scored a power-play goal at the end of the second period, tallying her score at 16:54. She then opened the scoring in the third period with a goal at 31 seconds. Hess then wrapped up the evening’s scoring with a goal at 13:48.
Aubree McDonah, Ayla McLellan, Dalayne Hatlstad and Addie Olson also scored goals for the Stars. Sophie Olson added three assists.
Kennedy Schuler and Reagan Wohlers scored goals for the Blades.
River Lakes opens Central Lakes Conference play at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday in Richmond against the Sartell/Sauk Rapids Storm’N Sabres.
