LITCHFIELD — The Morris/Chokio-Alberta softball team beat Litchfield 13-7 on Monday in both teams’ season-opener.
Morris/CA had 13 hits, led by Reilly Gibson, who went 3-for-4 with two doubles and three runs scored.
Liv Holmgren was 2-for-3 with two doubles, an RBI and a walk for Litchfield. Izzy Pennertz was 2-for-4 with a double, a run and an RBI and Liv Olson was 2-for-2 with three RBI for the Dragons.

Jennifer Bratsch had a walk-off single to lead the new Renville County West/BOLD co-op to a victory over Benson at Danube.

RCW/BOLD scored four runs in the bottom of the seventh for the come-from-behind victory, Hannah Savig drew a walk and Laila Ridler hit an RBI single to tie it up. Bratsch then hit a single to drive home Savig for the winning run.

With one out in the bottom of the seventh inning, Yellow Medicine East’s Hope Stark cranked out an RBI single to score Aria Peters for a walk-off win over Minnewaska in non-conference play at Granite Falls.
Peters was the Sting’s top batter, going 3-for-4 with a triple, three runs and an RBI. Yansi Flores and Atrinity Tipton each had two hits, with Tipton connecting with a double. Bayni Sneller got the win in the circle, striking out 14 in a complete-game effort.
Olivia Richards went 3-for-4 for the Lakers with a double, two runs and an RBI.
