MINNEAPOLIS — Willmar junior Aubrey Schueler will swim another day at the Class A state swimming and diving championships.
Schueler took 13th place with a time of 24.94 seconds in the 50-yard freestyle preliminaries Thursday at the Jean K. Freeman Aquatic Center at the University of Minnesota.
That puts Schueler in the consolation championship race Friday at the Aquatic Center.
Coming into Thursday’s race, Schueler was seeded 16th at 24.89. This is Schueler’s second trip to state after qualifying with the 4x200 freestyle relay last season.
