MINNEOTA — The Lakeview boys beat Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa by 10 strokes to win the Minneota Invitational high school golf tournament Tuesday at Countryside Golf Club.
The Lakers finished the 18-hole round with a score of 321, followed by BBE (331), Dawson-Boyd (344), Minneota (349) and Yellow Medicine East (350).
Securing medalist honors was Lakeview’s Carson Boe. He shot an even-par 72. BBE’s Brady Schwinghammer was the runner-up with 78. Five golfers, including Renville County West’s Ryan Schrupp, BBE’s Gannon Walsh and Lac qui Parle Valley’s Carson Besonen, tied for third with 79s.

Lakeview Invitational
MACCRAY was able to hang onto a slim lead to win the Lakeview invitational over Community Christian School of Willmar at Cottonwood Country Club.
The Wolverines won the meet with a score of 450. CCS followed with 453, and Lac qui Parle Valley was third with 538.
Alexis Noble led MACCRAY’s efforts with a round of 101, putting her in a tie for fourth place overall. CCS’ Sydney Gustafson was seventh with a 106.
Dawson-Boyd’s Lindsey Lund took medalist honors after carding a 90. Teammate Alyssa Swedzinski shot a 92, finishing in a tie for second with Minneota’s Lauren Bowyer.
