MARSHALL — The Lac qui Parle Valley girls golf team captured the championship in the Marshall Girls Invitational on Tuesday at Marshall Golf Club.
The Eagles carded a 355 to beat Redwood Valley by six strokes. MACCRAY finished sixth with a 458 and LQPV’s second team shot a 553.
Redwood Valley’s Mila Jenniges shot a 79 to take medalist honors, beating LQPV’s Sarah Halvorson by one stroke. Dawson-Boyd’s Lindsey Lund took fifth with an 88. The Blackjacks didn’t field a full varsity team.
MACCRAY’s top golfer was Kori Bristle, who tied for 14th with a 100.

Lady Bulldog Invitational
Minnewaska/Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa took fifth of 11 teams at the Lady Bulldog Invitational at Pebble Creek Golf Club in Becker.
Minnewaska/BBE was led by Paige Rupp, who tied for seventh with an 88. Berkeley Steffen shot 90 to finish 10th.
BOLD was eighth with a 417. The Warriors’ Kenna Henriksen tied for 29th place with a 100.
Alexandria, ranked second in the state, won with a 329. Detroit Lakes’ McKenna Mallow was the individual medalist with a 78.
Pebble Creek is the host site to the state Class A tournament.
