BENSON — The plan was to have Benson Invitational and the Minnewaska Invitational run so that one group could play in the morning at one venue, then move to the other in the afternoon.
The boys golf teams of the West Central Conference began Wednesday with a 10 a.m. tee time while the WCC girls teed off at the same time at Minnewaska Golf Club. Each group played nine holes.
Then, the boys would travel to Minnewaska and the girls would head to Benson for 2 p.m. starts.
As has been the case all spring, the weather got in the way.

The girls’ portion of the Benson Invitational scheduled for Wednesday afternoon was postponed because of lightning and rain, as was the boys’ portion of the Minnewaska Invitational.
