Men's basketball report for Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2022, in west central Minnesota. Anoka-Ramsey knocks off Warriors 108-103 in wild MCAC game

WILLMAR — Ridgewater men's basketball had yet to play in an overtime game prior to Wednesday when the Warriors lost 108-103 to Anoka-Ramsey Community College. The loss came at the conclusion of the third overtime.
The Warriors were out-scored 13-8 in the third and final overtime period.
The Warriors previously lost to the Rams 105-76 on Jan. 12.
DJ Brown and Jaylyn Clardy combined for 45 points in the loss. The duo from Pensacola, Florida were the only two players to record a double-double for Ridgewater.
Brown, the 6-foot-1 starting guard, came in second with most minutes played with 52, the most being Anoka-Ramsey's Devin Wade-Henderson with 53. Brown recorded 24 points and 12 assists.
Clardy, the 6-foot-3 reserve wing, scored 21 of the bench's 25 total points and recorded 12 rebounds.
Ontario Chapman led the Rams with 33 points and 13 rebounds.

Ridgewater stormed to an 11-2 run to start the game and eventually held a 20-7 lead before leading 38-25 at halftime.

Anoka-Ramsey out-scored Ridgewater 50-37 in the second half to force overtime with the score tied 75-75.

Both teams scored 11 in the first overtime period and nine in the second overtime period.
Rams' Isaiah Woodstock opened the third overtime with a layup and Anoka-Ramsey never gave up the lead.
