PHOTOS: Willmar dominates Sauk Rapids, Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2022

The Cardinals utilized a five-goal second half en route to a 7-0 victory over the Storm.

WILLMAR — The Cardinals boys' soccer team dominated the Sauk Rapids Storm en route to a 7-0 victory on Tuesday.

Sauk Rapids found the back of the net early on in the first half, but it was waved off due to an offside call.

From then on, it was all Willmar. The Cardinals spent much of the game in the attacking third.

Cardinals junior midfielder Idd Ali and junior striker Isaac Zelaya Velasquez led the team to victory.

Ali recorded a hat trick with an assist. Zelaya Velasquez had two goals and three assists.

Nathan Marthaler and Carson Brown also recorded goals for the Cardinals in the second half.
