Track and field roundup: Benson/KMS boys, girls finish sixth at Marshall Invitational

MARSHALL — Benson/Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg’s boys and girls track and field teams each finished in sixth place out of six teams Monday in the Marshall Invitational.

The Marshall girls won with 207.5 points. Benson/KMS had a 37.5

Benson/KMS’ Ava Noble won the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 50.52 seconds. Carly Tolfison took first in the high jump with a leap of 4 feet, 10 inches for Benson/KMS.

The Marshall boys scored 162 to beat Worthington’s 140. Benson/KMS scored 45.

The top boys place for Benson/KMS came in the 4x200 relay. The team of Chaden Carroll, Thomas Dineen, Juan Espinoza and Quinn Peterson had a time of 1:37.89. Carroll also took second in the pole vault with a 12-0.
