WILLMAR — West Central Tribune sports reporter Michael Lyne chats with Willmar girls hockey's Chloe Lownsbury for episode 13 of the WCT Sports Spotlight Show.

The WCT Sports Spotlight Show aims to showcase one athlete a week from west central Minnesota.

The Cardinals are 11-7-1 this season. Lownsbury leads Willmar with 13 goals.

Lownsbury, a junior center, is averaging a point per game this season. In addition to her 13 goals, she has six assists, good for 19 points in 19 games this season.

Michael Lyne joined the West Central Tribune as a sports reporter in May 2022, following his graduation from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, where he graduated with a bachelors degree in journalism and a minor degree in Spanish studies.
