WILLMAR -- The Willmar Rails beat the New London-Spicer Twins 7-5 in a Cornbelt League amateur baseball game Friday.

Willmar jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first inning, facing New London-Spicer starter Ben Kulset.

Lane Kleist and Matt Sagedahl singled, then with two outs, designated hitter Steve Wetterling drove a fly ball to the fence in left field for a double to plate both runners.

New London-Spicer came right back in the top of the second inning to score two runs. Mike Danielson led off with a single and worked his way around to third and eventually scored on a wild pitch to make it 2-1. Jeremy Dirksen's groundout scored Jack Hartley, who had walked, to tie the game 2-2.

New London-Spicer had committed seven errors and were out hit 8-5.
