ST. CLOUD -- Good serving makes a lot of things easier.
The Ridgewater volleyball team found that out, putting St. Cloud Technical on its heels in a 25-5, 25-17, 25-20 MCAC Southern Division win Monday.
"Our serving paid off. We were very aggressive from the service line. They really had to work hard to get the ball to the net," Ridgewater coach Joe Sussenguth said.
The Lady Warriors (9-0, 22-1) served 12 aces and many of them came in the first game.
"We just served the lights out. It cuts down on things we need to work for later," Sussenguth added. "You don't have to block or run an offense or defense."

Hannah Smith collected four aces and Molly Hurrle added three. Offensively, the Lady Warriors spread the wealth with four players with at least five kills. Emily Roelike led the way with nine, Smith and Macy McKay followed with six each, and Brianna Jacobson had five.
Ridgewater will face its two main division competitors -- Anoka-Ramsey and Rochester -- in the next five days.
"These next two matches are very crucial for us as to how the postseason lines up," Sussenguth said. "If we win the next two, we win our conference and lock up hosting regions as well."
