PAYNESVILLE -- Jake Herges and Austin Athmann scored two goals each and River Lakes beat Litchfield/Dassel-Cokato 6-1 on Thursday in a non-conference game.

Matt Kissner and Reed Pfannenstein also scored for the Stars.

Kissner put in the first goal of the game at 15:11 in the first period.

Herges and Athmann each scored once in the second, at 6:53 and 11:26 to put the Stars up for good.

Max Hyberger scored LDC's lone goal at 0:58 in the third period.

Brandon Wahl had 42 saves in the net for the Dragons and the Stars' Joacim Speldrich had 32.

River Lakes improved to 10-5 overall and Litchfield/Dassel-Cokato fell to 5-8.
