WILLMAR -- Joe Sever's two-out single in the bottom of the 12th innings scored Matt Serna from third base to give the Willmar Stingers a 7-6 win over Alexandria on Wednesday night at Bill Taunton Stadium.
The San Jose native's third hit of the game and second RBI capped a big comeback for the Stingers (4-3), who have now won three straight.
The Stingers had only one hit through six innings and trailed the Beetles 6-1.
St. Cloud State's Logan Birr, the fifth Stinger pitcher, got the win after working a scoreless and hitless 12th inning.
Isaac Ballou had two hits in six at bats and now leds the team with a .387 batting average.

The Stingers host the Beetles again tonight at 7:05 p.m. at Bill Taunton Stadium.
