GLENWOOD - Avery Hoeper hit a three-run home run and Olivia Richards had two hits and drove in four runs as Minnewaska thumped Montevideo 12-2 on Tuesday at Minnewaska High School.

The Lakers led 2-0 in the third inning but Montevideo pitchers had trouble finding the plate and Minnewask scored six to up the lead to eight runs.

Hoeper connected in the Lakers' four-run fourth to plate the eventual game-ending runs.

The Lakers' Sydney Metz had two hits, drove in a run and scored twice, and winning pitcher Kyla Koob worked five innings, allowing two runs and striking out four.

Montevideo's Lexi Brockmoller hit a solo home run leading off the fourth inning and Sydney Zindel singled in a run in the top of the fifth.

Edyn Saulsbury was 3-for-3 and Callie Slagter went 2-for-3 with a double but Rocori pieced together 12 hits in a 16-2 win over the Cardinals in Game 1 of Tuesday's Central Lakes Conference doubleheader.

Both of Willmar's runs came in the third inning when Slagter scored on a passed ball and Saulsbury reached home on a double steal.

The Spartans' Caitlin Heinen was 2-for-3 with four runs and four RBIs, including a three-run home run in the bottom of the fourth.

Berskow led the bottom of the second inning with a single and got to second base before the Spartans got the final out.

Jocie Larson drove in Alyssa Olson with an RBI single in the bottom of the seventh to complete a comeback in Tuesday's game against Watertown-Mayer.

The Dragons trailed 6-4 heading into their final at-bats but Litchfield tied it up early with a Katelyn Cruze two-run single. The game appeared bound for extra innings after back-to-back strikeouts but Larson's heroics ended the game.

Emma DeWolf helped lead the charge for Litchfield, going 2-for-4 with an RBI and run scored.

Litchfield opened things up with a four-run third inning to take an early lead but the Royals battled back to tie things up in the fifth inning. They kept things up, too, taking a 6-4 lead in the top of the seventh.

Taylor Draeger ended up with the win, going all seven innings.

Lindsey Minnick hit a three-run home run and earned the win from the pitching circle Tuesday against Sauk Centre.

Minnick was excellent all day, tossing a shutout until the seventh, when Reece Ritter broke it up with a three-run homer of her own.

Rachel Wilner helped out Minnick's causes with a four-hit day, driving in a pair of runs.

ACGC will wrap up the regular season against KMS at 5 p.m. Thursday in Murdock.
