State football fans cheer and play

Hancock and Paynesville prep football teams played in state football semifinal games Thursday.

Fans of the Hancock Owls and the Paynesville Bulldogs cheered their respective teams at separate state football semifinal games Thursday at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. Hancock advanced to the Nine-Man state championship game with 54-32 win. Paynesville was outscored 44-32 in its Class 2A semifinal loss. See game reports on B1.
