THUNDER BAY, Ontario -- The Bruins won in Canada but so far not the Stingers.

Willmar couldn't duplicate Boston's Stanley Cup success at Vancouver, B.C., though it did score two runs in the Lake Superior port city.

The Border Cats came from behind to hand the Stingers their third straight loss on Thursday.

Jason Leblebijian gave the visitors an early 1-0 lead with an RBI triple in the first inning to score Rob Elliott. But Thunder Bay scored two runs each in the sixth and seventh innings for the 4-2 comeback win Port Arthur Stadium.

For the second straight night the Stingers had the advantage in base hits, but struggled for timely hits.

Eduardo Gonzalez, Jarid Scarafiotti and Elliott all had multi-hit games.

The Stingers' Dan Russell pitched six strong innings in his first start of the season, but took the loss after allowing four runs on seven hits. Michael Shreves then pitched two scoreless innings.
