WILLMAR - The Willmar Stingers dropped the second game of a seven-inning doubleheader against Bismarck 13-1 on Tuesday at Bill Taunton Stadium.
The Stingers prevailed 5-3 in the first game, which was rescheduled when Monday's game was rained out.
In the second game, Bismarck starter Drew Mesecher was in command throughout. He one-hit the Stingers through six innings and allowed just three hits and a seventh-inning run on Noah Haupt's RBI single.
The Stingers embark on a three-game Fourth of July road trip. Willmar plays at Duluth on Wednesday and Thursday, then plays at St. Cloud on Friday before taking on the Rox on Saturday in Willmar.

The Stingers untied the game with a three-run sixth inning and defeated the Larks in a seven-inning game rescheduled from Monday night.
The teams were tied 2-2 in the sixth but Willmar's Brandon Bohning led off with a single and Chase Stanke followed with a single. Noah Haupt's one-out double brought home a run and James Gamble and Sam Baier followed with run-scoring singles to put Willmar up 5-2.
Baier, who hit a lead off home run in the first, had three hits and the two RBIs.
Polo Portela worked six of the seven innings to get the win and Aldo Fernandez pitched a clean seventh for the save.

Willmar's Andrew Baumgart had three hits and drove in a run and Asaiah Smith doubled and drove in two runs. Jett Salonek and Sam Etterman also drove in runs.

With 12 hits and eight stolen bases, Tri-Town's offense was firing on all cylinders Tuesday in a 10-4 win over Kerkhoven.
The Black Sox were led by Connor Barker, who was 3-for-3 with a double, two runs, three RBIs and three stolen bases. Josh Kingery also had three stolen bases while going 2-for-2 with a double, a run and three RBIs while also being the winning pitcher.
Regan Carlson finished 1-for-3 with a double and two RBIs for Kerkhoven.
