WILLMAR - A pair of four-run innings helped Willmar to a 13-4 victory over Duluth for the Stingers’ fourth-straight win on Tuesday at Bill Taunton Stadium.
Andrew Lucas singled in two runs and Kevin Saenz doubled in two more in the Stingers’ four-run third inning, and Branden Boissiere hits a three-run home run to power Willmar’s four-run fifth inning.
Chase Stanke hit a two-run home run to get Willmar on the board in the first, Brandon Bohning’s sacrifice fly plated a run in the fourth, and the Stingers added two more runs in the eight on RBI doubles from Noah Haupt and Saenz.
Polo Portela was strong again, allowing a run on five hits in 5-2/3 innings to get the win.
The Stingers and Huskies play against at 7:05 p.m. Wednesday at Taunton Stadium

Blake Vogle and Ethan Hauge singled in runs in the sixth inning and New London-Spicer survived a busy top of the seventh to down Litchfield on Monday night.

Litchfield scored a run in the seventh to cut the NLS lead to one run, but a ground out with runners on second and third ended the game.
Hauge got the win in relief and Derek Dolezal doubled in three runs in the third inning. Hauge had three hits.
