LITTLE FALLS -- Willmar won half of the 12 events Friday in a Central Lakes Conference dual with Little Falls, but the home team had more depth as the Flyers edged the Cardinals 96-90 in the regular-season finale.
Alissa Tinklenberg won the 200 and 500 freestyle races for Willmar, which won the 400 freestyle relay with Liz Gorans, Ashley Alvarado, Amy Brandt and Cassie Yoakum. Also finishing first for Willmar was diver Tia Swoyer, Gorans in the 100 butterfly and Yoakum in the 100 backstroke.
The CLC tournament, which is hosted by Sartell, begins Thursday with the diving preliminaries. The tournament will then conclude next Saturday.
