WILLMAR -- Willmar started the season with an impressive performance, sinking Sauk Rapids 102-79 in a Central Lakes Conference meet on Thursday.
"I was very happy with our performance for the first meet," said Willmar coach Carl Shuldes. "Compared to last year's first meet, almost everyone had better times."
Shuldes said there were a few surprises for this early in the season, particularly Kyle Rozendaal finishing in under one minute (59.43) in the 100 backstroke. He also was impressed with Bennett Woltjer's 184.50 in diving and Mason Kluver's 24.21 in the 50 freestyle.
