WILLMAR -- Willmar seemed delighted to finally have its first home meet in more than a month, submerging Alexandria 100-85 on Tuesday in a Central Lakes Conference meet.
Willmar finished 1-3 in the first relay and never trailed.
The meet highlight for Willmar was sophomore Kyle Rozendaal's win in the 100 backstroke in a time of 59.29. It's the first time he broke one minute, beat senior teammate Steve Kluver (by .07) and went under the state cut.
A.J. Derouin won the 500 free in 5:39.38, about 15 seconds under his personal best, according to head coach Carl Shuldes.
Ross Swartz also had a strong meet swimming on two winning relays and adding two thirds in individual events.
