FERGUS FALLS -- Mitch Fader and Landon Peterson paired to win 1-doubles Thursday for Willmar as Fergus Falls upended the Cardinals 6-1 in a Central Lakes Conference boys tennis match.
The 6-4, 7-5 win at 1-doubles was the only point for Willmar (1-9, 1-10) as Fergus Falls (5-2, 5-2) won the other six matches in straight sets.
Preston Peterson was the closest to picking up another point for Willmar, but the freshman was outlasted 7-6 (7-3), 6-3 at 4-singles by Pat Billodeau.
Willmar's next match is Tuesday at home against St. Cloud Tech.
