LITCHFIELD — The Litchfield girls tennis team had three singles players and two doubles teams earn first-place finishes Thursday in the Wright County Conference individual tournament.

New London-Spicer, meanwhile, had the No. 1 doubles team of Izzy Schmiesing and Delaney Hanson earn first place.

For Litchfield, singles players Kylie Michesl at No. 2, Karlee Prahl at No. 3 and Isla Dille at No. 4 all earned tournament titles.

In doubles, the Dragons’ Taylor Draeger and Olivia Olson at No. 2 and Kaitlyn Palmer and Sophie Stilwell at No. 3 also took first place in their respective positions.

Willmar 5, Rocori 1

Willmar beat Central Lakes Conference opponent Rocori at Willmar.

The No. 1 singles match was not completed because of rain.

Willmar’s Kessa Mara, Caroline Becker and Adali Laidlaw won at Nos. 2-4 singles, respectively.

Rocori’s point came at No. 2 doubles. The Spartans’ Ayla Vettelson and Isabella Arceneau beat Kylee Berget and Lizzie Eide 5-7, 7-5, 10-8.

Willmar is now 8-3 in the CLC and 12-6 overall. Rocori fell to 3-5 and 5-7.

With a sweep of doubles play and a big win at No. 2 singles, Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa beat MACCRAY in Belgrade.

The Jaguars’ No. 2 singles win came from Paige Prentice, who beat Hannah DeLong 7-6 (4), 6-3.

MACCRAY is headed to the West Central Conference tournament at 8:30 a.m. Saturday in Alexandria.
