Ellenson leaves Gophers hoops to focus on track

Gophers sophomore guard Wally Ellenson will leave the basketball team to focus on competing with the University of Minnesota track and field team.

Ellenson, a Rice Lake, Wis., native, averaged 1.8 points in 6.9 minutes in nine games this season.
