Kaelene Lundstrum, a junior at Gustavus Adolphus College, Sam Broderius, a sophomore from Gustavus, and Tyler Hinrichs, a senior at Bethel University, earned medals at the NCAA Division III Championships at Marietta, Ohio, last weekend.
Lundstrum, a BOLD graduate, was second in the high jump, clearing 1.7 meters and was fifth in the heptathlon with 4,624 points. She was also on the Gusties' 4x400 relay team that finished eighth. Broderius, a Buffalo Lake-Hector graduate, was seventh in the shot put with a toss of 13.26 meters, and was seventh in the discus with a 42.95-meter throw.
Hinrichs, a MACCRAY graduate, took eighth in the 1,500 run in a time of 3:55.29.
