MORRIS-The Morris/Chokio-Alberta girls basketball team staged a second half comeback to defeat ACGC 49-44 on Monday.
The Tigers were strong in the paint, pulling in 38 team rebounds. Jenna Howden was the game's leader in that regard with eight. She also tacked on six points.
Malory Anderson and Ashley Solive led the way in scoring with 13 and 10 points, respectively. Anderson also had six rebounds and three steals.
Their ACGC counterpart was Madison Denton who finished with eight points. Anna Grimsgard, Kendra Miller and Maree Lee all scored seven points.

Renville County West trailed by 10 points at the half but Ortonville ran away in the second half after an injury to Jaguar starter Britney Marr,

Marr scored six points before her injury and the Jaguars struggled to find scoring in the second half. They were led by Aleah Zieske, Emily Filzen and Reanna Flom who each scored eight points.
Flom also managed to pull in a team-high five rebounds along with Pamela Winzenburg who also had five.
The Jaguars will play Lakeview on Tuesday in Renville.

Minnewaska 72, Paynesville 36
Minnewaska put up a dominant first half and kept that going in the second to cruise to a win over Paynesville Monday night.
Carley Stewart kept up with her strong year by putting up 21 points on the night while adding four steals before all was said and done as well. Bayley Pooler and Emma Thorfinnson each reached double digits for the Lakers as well, scoring 18 and 13 points respectively.
Minnewaska's Abby VerSteeg was another contributor, logging nine assists.
Paynesville was led by Katelyn Spanier who scored 17 of the team's 36 points.
