Total team effort

WILLMAR - The Willmar swimming and diving team won 10 of 12 events and posted a convincing win over St. Cloud Apollo on Thursday night at the Willmar High School pool.

The Cardinals won 126-60, and it was a complete team effort.

Willmar's Edyn Saulsbury won two events, placing first in the 200 Individual Medley and the 100 Backstroke.

Ava Brogren placed first in the 200 Freestyle and Amanda Mathiasen won the 50 Freestyle.

Josie Miller won the 100 Freestyle and Allie Evink placed first in the 500 Freestyle.

Erica Schramm scored 270.40 to win the diving competition.

Brogren, Adia Laidlaw, Natalie Arends and Grace Vierhuf led Willmar to victory in the 200 Medley Relay, and Avery Welsh, Schramm, Brogren and Miller teamed to place first in the 200 Freestyle Relay.

Mathiasen, Evink, Miller and Ana Hernandez led the Cardinals to a win in the 400 Freestyle Relay.
