VFW Baseball: Willmar falls to Hutchinson, 1-0

Post 1639 gets no hits in the loss

HUTCHINSON — The Willmar VFW Post 1639 baseball team got no-hit by Hutchinson in a 1-0 loss Wednesday night.

Post 1639 drew three walks and had one player reach on an error.

The loss marred a strong performance from Chase Birchard. Birchard threw six innings, striking out four and walking one. He allowed five hits and one earned run.

Willmar (3-8) is next scheduled to play at 6 p.m. July 7 at Litchfield.
