BENSON -- Morris scored in every inning and drubbed Willmar 13-4 in the District 5 VFW baseball championship on Monday night.
Willmar finishes the season with a 22-6 mark.
Morris slapped 16 hits in the win.
"It was just one of those games," said Willmar coach George Jacobson. "Everything they hit dropped in."
Valnes (first name not provided) went 4-for-4 and drove in four runs to lead the Morris attack. Morris scored four times in the first and second innings.

Nathaniel Swoyer had two of Willmar's five hits. Dean Stier, Gabe Amon and Jacob Damhof had one hit each.
Swoyer absorbed the loss for Willmar.
Willmar, the No. 1 seed, went 4-2 in the district playoffs. Morris, the No. 3 seed, went 4-0.
