Volleyball: BBE advances to 5A-South title match

BROOTEN -- Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa reserved its spot in the Section 5A-South title match with a 25-18, 25-21, 25-13 win over Kimball in a subsection semifinal Tuesday.

The Jaguars (26-5) will face Bertha-Hewitt at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Brainerd.

Rachel Anderson and Maggie Gruber provided a good portion of the BBE offense, with 13 and 12 kills respectively. Gruber also led the team with four ace blocks and Anderson added three. Julie Hieserich had 28 set assists and Raeann Sorenson had 13 digs.
