Volleyball: BBE overpowers HLWW

BELGRADE -- Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa didn't let Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted gain any momentum all night en route to a 25-14, 25-15, 25-16 Central Minnesota volleyball victory Thursday.

The Jaguars (1-0, 2-0) controlled the net, collecting eight ace blocks. Rachel Anderson and Maggie Gruber led the way with three each. Gruber powered down 11 kills, followed by Anderson's nine and Shannon Gruber with seven. Brittany Roelike had three ace serves and Julie Hieserich had 25 set assists.
