PRINSBURG — On a milestone night for senior Coco Duininck, Central Minnesota Christian remained undefeated at home with a three-set win on Tuesday.

The Bluejays beat Camden Conference foe Lac qui Parle Valley 25-21, 25-19, 25-16.

“Playing at home has always been a great atmosphere for us,” said CMCS head coach Jill Haan. “We’re undefeated at home and we’re proud of that. Toward the end of the season we’re playing our best ball.”

Duininck, the Bluejays’ setter, got her 2,000th career set assist on her first helper of the night on a Molly Mulder kill. She finished the match with 40 set assists, two ace serves and two kills.

“I’m happy for Coco to reach this,” Haan said. “She’s worked hard, is dedicated and a team player.”

Mulder was CMCS’ top attacker with 17 kills to go with three ace serves. Maaike Duininck followed up with 11 kills. Sydney Damhof patrolled the back row, scooping up 11 digs in the victory.

CMCS wraps up the regular season on Thursday with a home match against Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg. LQPV has a pair of home matches to close out the year, with Renville County West on Thursday and Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley on Monday.

Alice Hanson had 18 kills and Hannah Pharr had nine kills and nine ace blocks to lead Renville County West over Dawson-Boyd at Renville.

Addyson Tanner had 47 set assists for the Jaguars, who got 13 digs from Hanson, 12 from Ali Aalderks and 10 from Tanner.

For the Blackjacks, Reese Johnson had 15 kills and Kate Dahl had 11. Chelsie Husby had 40 set assists. Dahl also had 14 digs and Alivia Haas had 12 for Dawson-Boyd.

The Thunder Hawks’ loss came despite a strong outing from Avery Koenen, who had 20 kills, seven ace blocks, and 14 digs, all team highs. Tenley Epema handed out 27 set assists.
