COLLEGEVILLE -- Ridgewater nearly scored more points at the free-throw line that it did from the field as the Warriors drubbed the St. John's University JV team 74-62 Monday.
The Warriors shot over 50 percent from the field (19-for-34), and they shot a respectable 73 percent from the charity stripe, going 36-for-49.
Casey Sussenguth led a trio of Warriors that scored in double figures with 14 points as Mike Weber followed with 12 and Shawn Neu 10. Sussenguth also grabbed 12 rebounds and pocketed four steals.
Ridgewater, which won its third straight after falling in its opener, opened the contest with an 11-0 run and stayed in front for the entire game. The Warriors owned a comfortable 36-20 lead at halftime and saw their lead reach 21 at one point in the second half.
Max McHugh scored 22 points to lead St. John's, with Garrett Bassett and Chris Orgas adding 13 each.

The Warriors play at Wahpeton, N.D., today at 8 p.m. against North Dakota State College of Science. The Lady Warriors will also play the Wildcats today at 6 p.m.
