Wildcats win another thriller

NEW LONDON -- Jackson Ness was the hero for New London-Spicer as he hit a game-winning layup with just seconds remaining before teammate Jake Schmidt drew a charge to preserve a 72-71 Wright County Conference win over Glencoe-Silver Lake on Tuesday.

It's the second thriller for the Wildcats in four days. They edged Redwood Valley 72-70 in overtime on Saturday.

The Wildcats led by four going into halftime but held off a late rally from the Silverstreaks to secure the victory.

Brandon Adelman led NLS with 20 points and Mitchell Halvorson finished with 19.

Ness scored 17 points and Halvorson, Hunter Sjoberg and Ander Arnold all had six rebounds.

ACGC 73, Sauk Centre 62

Erik Belgum led the charge with 24 points on 9-of-10 shooting as ACGC knocked off Sauk Centre in a West Central Conference battle Tuesday night.

Sauk Centre's Tanner Rieland also had a strong night with 25 points but his Mainstreeters couldn't overcome a strong shooting night from the Falcons as they finished 19-of-29 from the floor.
