WILLMAR - Taylor Filipek poured in 23 points and the Willmar boys (7-2) whacked Moorhead 64-47 to complete a Saturday afternoon sweep of the Spuds in high school basketball.
Led by Kelsey Evans and Hannah Smith, each with 17 points, and Alex Lippert with 11 points and five blocks, the Cardinal girls (6-2) thumped the Moorhead girls (2-3) by a 58-36 score.
Isaiah Streed and Jordan Smith also hit double figures in the boys win that dropped the Spuds to 1-5.
The boys home hockey game Saturday evening with Hutchinson has been postponed, it was announced at the basketball game. No make-up was announced.
