WILLMAR -- The Willmar girls hockey team improved its winning streak to three games with a 4-1 non-conference victory over Litchfield/Dassel-Cokato Thursday.
The Cardinals (7-15) took advantage of Dragon penalties in each period to score a goal.
After Caroline Kivisto pocketed a shot 11 seconds into the game to put LDC ahead 1-0, Ali Sing of Willmar scored on a power play to tie the game.
Meckensie Dahle scored with 1:40 left in the period to give the Cardinals a 2-1 lead.
In the second, Jennie Mattison made the Dragons pay for a penalty by scoring 4:08 into the period.

And in the third, Rebecca Freese netted an unassisted, power play goal at the 5:29 mark.
The Cardinals peppered LDC goalie Erin Wegner with 40 shots on goal, while Willmar's defense kept the Dragons' shot total to 18. Baylie Young made 17 saves.
