Willmar volleyball downs St. Cloud Tech

WILLMAR -- The Willmar volleyball team improved to 2-0 in the Central Lakes Conference and overall with a four-set victory over St. Cloud Tech 26-24, 25-10, 18-25, 25-14 on Tuesday at Willmar High School.

WILLMAR - The Willmar volleyball team improved to 2-0 in the Central Lakes Conference and overall with a four-set victory over St. Cloud Tech 26-24, 25-10, 18-25, 25-14 on Tuesday at Willmar High School.
Leah Ruter, a senior outside hitter, had 20 kills and also led the Cardinals with 15 digs. Sophomore right-side hitter Cami Sletta had 9 kills and senior middle hitter Dani Rosen had 8.
Senior setter Riley Grussing made just one setting error and finished with 36 assists.
Allie Roehl had 12 digs, Emily Chermak had 9 and Riley Grussing and Esther Grussing both had 8.
The Cardinals also served well, finishing with 11 aces.
Willmar plays at Sauk Rapids at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
