The Minnesota Timberwolves will honor Flip Saunders with a commemorative patch on their uniforms this season.
Saunders, the team president and coach, died Sunday after a battle with Hodgkin's lymphoma. He was 60.
The Timberwolves also will wear a warm-up shirt during its November games with "Flip" across the heart and the letters "WE" in reference to the franchise's unified support.
The patches will first be worn during the Timberwolves' home opener on Monday night against the Portland Trail Blazers. A pregame tribute also is planned that night.
The Timberwolves will unveil the shirts during their season opener on Wednesday night in Los Angeles against the Lakers.
