WAHPETON, N.D. -- The Ridgewater women's basketball team was held to 35 percent shooting from the field in a 71-43 loss to North Dakota State College of Science Tuesday.
The Lady Warriors (2-3) made 18-of-51 shots from the floor, including just 1 of 9 from three-point range.
No Ridgewater player reached double figures in points. Five players led the team with six points each. Kari Caspers grabbed a team-high nine rebounds and blocked five shots.
Two former area prep players scored points for NDSCS. Megan Groen, the 2008 Hengstler-Ranweiler winner from Renville County West, recorded 13 points, seven assists and seven steals. Hannah Wenaas, from Montevideo, added six points.
Karis Phillips led NDSCS with 17 points.
