Women's basketball: Warriors blast Golden Rams

WILLMAR -- The Ridgewater women's basketball team jumped on Anoka-Ramsey from the opening tip and never let up, thumping the Golden Rams 93-61 on Saturday.

The Warriors scored 51 first-half points and led by 24 at the break.
Ridgewater shot 53 percent from the field and hit 10 of 18 3-point shots. The Warriors had 32 assists on their 37 buckets.
Brook Wuertz led the Warriors with 20 points, six rebounds and eight assists.
Rachel Ampe scored 17 points and had five rebounds, Sami Doering had 16 points and eight rebounds, and Datri Jensen finished with six points, eight rebounds and eight assists.
Allie Seth scored 12 points and Maddi Strandberg and Erica Melbie both went for 10 points.
Ridgewater next plays Wednesday at M State Fergus Falls.
