WILLMAR - The Ridgewater women’s basketball team didn’t shoot the ball well from the field but made up for it at the free throw line in a 64-53 win over Rochester on Wednesday.

The Warriors’ Jessie Kalenberg hit all three of the team’s 3-point shots but they made 19 of 27 at the line.

Rochester hit 10 of 12 at the line but couldn’t overcome Ridgewater’s 48-33 rebounding edge.

“It’s a big win for us,” Warriors coach Carrie Ogdahl said. “It was kind of ugly, with the turnovers and poor shooting.”
