Alexis Guggisberg, a senior at Minnewaska Area High School, has signed a National Letter of Intent to play golf at the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, N.D., in 2013-2014.
Guggisberg was a key player for a Lakers program that won five straight Class AA state titles from 2006 to 2010. Guggisberg played in four state tournaments and tied for 10th last spring, helping the Lakers to a second-place finish in Class A.
UND is a NCAA Division I program and is a member of the Big Sky conference, which includes teams such as Portland State, Southern Utah, Northern Arizona, and Sacramento State.
