Jessica Szymanski and Bryan Orson are engaged to be married Jan. 8 at Semple Mansion in Minneapolis.
Szymanski is the daughter of Jim and Joan Szymanski of North Oaks.
She is a 1997 graduate of Mounds View High School, a 2001 graduate of the College of St. Benedict in St. Joseph with a degree in elementary education and a 2006 graduate of Bethel University with a master's in special education. She is employed as a special education teacher by Red Rock Elementary School in Woodbury.
Orson is the son of Marlyn and Jacki Orson of New London.
He is a 1996 graduate of New London-Spicer High School in New London and a 2011 graduate of the Travel Academy. He is employed as a flight attendant by Compass Airlines.
