The view from a snowplow is shown about 5:45 p.m. Saturday on state Highway 23 approaching the junction with U.S. Highway 212 east of Granite Falls. While the Minnesota Department of Transportation has lifted the "no travel" advisory, motorists are advised to stay off the roads and let the plows do their work.

A Central Community Transit bus drives Wednesday on Trott Avenue Southwest in Willmar. Among the winter woes for CCT, the white buses are hard for other motorists to spot against the snowbanks. As a result, CCT drivers are using extra caution at intersections before edging out into traffic.

Minnesota Highway 23 between Willmar and Clara City remains closed to travel, and will remain closed through early morning, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation. MnDOT recommends motorists continue to stay off state highways throughout much of southwest Minnesota overnight due to dangerous winter driving conditions and closed highways.
