Lincoln Park was full of fun Tuesday afternoon with the help of the city of Willmar Parks and Recreation Department’s Park It program in Willmar. The new program brings games, craft projects and other outdoor activities to four different city parks 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday through July 25.

Residents attending a forum hosted by the Bird Island City Council on Monday evening voiced fears about the possibility of closing the BOLD facilities in the community. Calling it the "elephant in the room," Neal Prokosch, a council member, said, "Bird Island feels under siege. We feel like we are going to lose our school."
