AEHM LLC has approached the city of Willmar to approve a tax abatement. The financial assistance would help make it possible for the company, which owns the Suite Livn' apartment buildings in Willmar, to construct a new 24-unit building at the Sunwood Apartment Complex near Ridgewater College.

The Willmar City Council rejected temporary parking restrictions that were being put into place on Second, Third, Fourth and Fifth Streets Southeast and 15th Street Southeast. The council's Public Works Committee approved the restrictions in order to ease snowplowing efforts and the movement of other large vehicles, but the council on Monday failed to approve the required resolution.

The land use covenants for Willmar's Robbins Island Regional Park – which guarantee the land will always be used as a park – were updated this week by the city as a requirement of the $606,000 Legacy grant Willmar received for improvements at park.
