Tonsfeldt — Burks

Laurie Tonsfeldt and Jon Burks were united in marriage July 19 at Svea Lutheran Church in Svea.
Laurie is the daughter of Evelyn Bendel of Blomkest and the late Urban Bendel. Jon is the son of the late Perry and the late Luverne Burks.
Maid of honor was Emily Tonsfeldt, daughter of the bride. Laurie’s attendant was Rochelle Merkins, daughter of the groom. Flower girl was Brooklynn Merkins, granddaughter of the groom.
Best man was Michael Burks, son of the groom. Jon’s attendant was Joseph Tonsfeldt, son of the bride. Ring bearer was Gavin Burks, grandson of the groom.
Ushers were Carter Christopher, friend of the couple, and Zachary Flannigan, nephew of the bride.
A reception was held at Svea Lutheran Church and the dance was held at the farm of the couple in rural Blomkest.
The bride is employed by Rice Memorial Hospital as coordinator of hospital information systems. The groom is attending Ridgewater College pursuing a degree in drafting.
