Investigators at the scene identified the area outside where the confrontation occurred, finding the bat, scuff marks, a pool of blood and a small lock blade knife.

Makayla Marie Oothoudt Willprecht and Hudeife Muhumed Mire are facing charges of third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter for allegedly providing Samantha Myers with the drugs that led to her overdose death in April. They were in court Thursday in Kandiyohi County.
The man is principal of Eagle Ridge Middle School in the Burnsville-Eagan-Savage School District and was previously principal of William Byrne Elementary.
Judge Kelly Thimm set a cash bail of $500,000 for Jeffrey Anthony Charles, five times the amount requested by Douglas County (Wis.) District Attorney Mark Fruehauf.
